New staff approved at IBA

According to the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) Supervisory Council, a new staff has been approved at the bank, the bank said on Friday.

According to the decision, Emil Mustafayev has been appointed as a board member and Deputy Chairman of the Board, Vagif Akbarov - a board member and Vice-Chairman of the Board, Gubad Huseynov - board member and Deputy Chairman of the Board. Rashad Hajiyev is a newly elected board member and vice chairman of the board. He previously held the position of Director of the IBA Central Treasury.

Rashad Hajiyev was born in Baku in 1979. He is the economist. He began working in 1999. He has been working in IBA since 2000 up to now. He was appointed as director of the central treasury department in May 2011. He won the programs in economics, funded by the U.S. government in 1998-1999. He studied at the University of Michigan. He got a master's degree and obtained a distinction in the University of Dublin in 2002-2003.
