
Larisa Leschenko is to arrive in Baku on 8 October as World Bank’s country manager in Azerbaijan.
The Baku-based WB resident office reports that the Ms. Leschenko’s visit will last for a couple of days and after it she will start for a series of business trips.
"By the end of October Ms. Leschenko will return to Baku again and will be in the country on a permanent basis," the WB office said.
Ms. Leschenko entered upon the WB country manager office in Azerbaijan from 1 September.
Earlier the bank postponed her official introduction scheduled for 10-11 September for internal reasons. It should have been conducted by WB regional director for the South Caucasus Henry Kerali.
The WB with accumulated since 1995 portfolio of $3.1 bn remains the major donor of Azerbaijan among the international financial institutions.
