CBA aims to keep single-digit inflation

Azerbaijan`s Central Bank has said preserving a single-digit inflation is among the key priorities in its monetary policy for 2012. The Bank said another priority will be maintaining the rate of the national currency.

“The rate of the manat will remain an important factor in preserving macroeconomic stability, managing financial stability and strengthening the competitiveness of the national non-oil sector,” the Central Bank said in a statement.
