Hidayat Orujov: "Some groups politicize religion"

Religious belief is free in Azerbaijan. But several groups, especially the representatives of non-traditional sects and their radical wings disturb others. We should deal with this problem, chief of the State Committee for Religious Communities Hidayat Orujov said at the seminar organized for the journalists writing articles on religion.

The committee chief said that everyone in Azerbaijan is concerned about this problem. He said it is a part of Azerbaijan's policy in religious sphere to prevent these tendencies.

Though sometimes these groups are presented as a great political force, it is not right. Some groups politicize religion. Though they are small groups, they should be prevented, he said, APA reports.
