UIA students to be transferred to other universities

08 September 2006 [15:22] - TODAY.AZ
Students of University of Independent Azerbaijan agreed to the proposal of the Education Ministry of Azerbaijan on transfer of first, third and fourth-year students to the other universities.

Student of UIA, Khalid Garayev, told that about 200 students met with the Ministry Officer, Ilham Pirmammadov. During the meeting an agreement was reached on transfer of the students to other universities by September 15.

The students will be transferred to the private universities such as Odlar Yurdu, Eurasia, Asia, Azerbaijan, Sociopolitics, Girls, and International.

Mr. Pirmammadov said that the documents on the transfer will have been completed soon.

The students will have to pay the tuition fee as much as they paid during a study at UIA.

But second-year students will not be transferred to these universities as they were admitted to UIA illegally.

UIA was closed by the Ministry of Education this year due to its illegal activities, APA reports.
