Pensions for solitary and elderly people may rise

The Foundation told APA that the amendments are on increase of pensions of solitary and elderly people. The foundation is in favor of rise of pensions of these categories, but it is not exact how much the rise will be. It is the president's competence to decide the volume of rise.

There are 13 459 solitary and elderly pensioners in Azerbaijan currently. Their pensions differ according to labor year, amount they paid for social insurance and other factors.

The Foundation also said that no other changes will be made to the law on labor pensions as the law was adopted and came into force in January 1, this year.
