Azeri state mail and post company will operate with «Western Union» and «Travelex» money transfer systems

During the III quarter of the current year money transfer systems «Western Union» and «Travelex» are planned to be introduced in the post network of the state company “Azerpochta”, the legal matters being already settled.
Measures on study payment systems operations are currently carried out at the enterprise, the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communication and information technologies (MCIT) told Trend.

Appropriate trainings for the “Azerpochta” state enterprise employees on increase of the work experience under this system, except for the technical side of the system introduction, have started.

Bilateral agreement between the “Azerpochta” state enterprise and the «Western Union» and «Travelex» on including the mentioned systems into the post network of Azerbaijan took place in early May.

«After introduction these systems in the post network it will be possible to make transfers from any point of the world during 15-20 minutes, the Ministry said.

At first, money transfer operations under this system are planned to be implemented in the capital city of Azerbaijan, after that – in other regions of Azerbaijan, the Ministry also said.
