Azerbaijan's consul to Los Angeles awarded diploma by City Council of Beverly Hills

On October 18, which marks Independence Day of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan's General Council in Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov was awarded a diploma at a meeting of the City Council of Beverly Hills. The meeting also emphasized importance of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and the United States.

In his welcoming notes, Mayor of Beverly Hills Jimmy Delshad stressed strategic nature of the Azerbaijani-American partnership and friendship of Azerbaijani and Jewish peoples and long tradition of tolerance and openness in Azerbaijani society.

The mayor thanked Consulate General for the support rendered while holding Day of the city of Beverly Hills and noted the importance of Azerbaijan's diplomatic presence in California.
