Boxing tournament in memory of Azerbaijani oilman to be held in Surgut

World Cup of Oil Producing countries in boxing is to start in Russian Surgut on 24 November.

The contest is to be devoted to memory of Azerbaijani oilman Farman Salman, who was first to find oil in Siberia. Azerbaijan is to be represented by both men and women’s teams. The coaching staff this time decided to check reservists but nonetheless some experienced boxers were included.

The men’s national team includes Javid Chelebiyev (52 kg), Magomed Abdulhamidov (56 kg), Samir Mammadov (56 kg), Nurlan Mammadov (60 kg), Parviz Bagirov (64 kg), Ramal Amanov (69 kg), Soltan Migitinov (75 kg), Abdulgadir Abdullayev (91 kg), Ilgar Allahverdiyev (over 91 kg).

Women’s team includes Ayzanat Hajiyeva (60 kg), Yelena Vistropova (75 kg), Leyla Javadova (81 kg).
