Azeri wrestlers claim 5 gold and 3 bronze medals at international tournament in Istanbul

Azerbaijani wrestlers grabbed five gold and three bronze medals at the 27th Republic Cup international junior wrestling tournament in Istanbul.

Fazil Zamanzade weighing in at 55 kg, Nurlan Asgarov in at 60 kg, Jeyhun Aliyev in at 66 kg, Shamil Ertuganov in at 74 kg and Fuad Aliyev in at 84 kg mounted the highest step on the podium.

Togrul Yunisli weighing in at 74 kg, Sultan Ismayılov in at 84 kg and Hajımurad Chopsiyev in at 96 kg grabbed the bronze medals.

The event brought together wrestlers from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Russia and Turkey.
