Azerbaijani kick boxers grab four gold at European championship

September 2-9, Italian city Lignano Sabbiadoro hosted the European Kick Boxing Championship in WAKO version among juniors and youth. The championship brought together more than 800 sportsmen from 40 countries.

The Azerbaijani squad was represented with 23 kick-boxers, seven of with are members of sports club "Qızıl Əlcək" (Golden Glove). Azerbaijan succeeded at the championship thus winning 4 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals.

Totally, Azerbaijan grabbed 20 medals and thus ranked second following the Russian Federation and preceding Croatia and Serbia.
