Azerbaijani rower makes his way through to WC quarterfinals

Olympiad 2012 licensed world academic rowing championship kicked off in Slovenian Bled. According to the Azerbaijani Rowing Federation, sportsman Alexander Alexandrov timed 6 min 58, 06 sec in 2000 distance and took the 3rd place which means that he qualified to ¼ final.

Natalia Mustafayeva, however, timed 7min 45,69sec and became 4th. She will perform at the "consolatory" round together with another Azerbaijani rower Kamal Mammadov.
