Azerbaijani powerlifter wins 6th place in European championship

European Junior Powerlifting Championships is coming to an end in Limassol, Cyprus. Three Azerbaijani athletes tested strength on the penultimate day.

In junior event in a 85kg weight category, Nailkhan Nabiyev with a total result of 327 kg, finished 6th among 16 participants, while Orhan Aligulizade finished 9th with 310 kg. Russian Egor Klimonov won the title of European champion with 349 kg.

In event of athletes aged up to 23 years, Khosrov Ahmadov (94 kg) lifted 307 kg in the double-event to rank at 11th place among 15 participants. Romanian won Anatolie Kiritsu who lifted 379 kg won the event.
