Azerbaijan's chess player 8th at Vladimir Open tournament

Azeri chess player Rufat Baghirov has climbed to the 8 spot at the Vladimir Open tournament in Russia. Baghirov was held to a draw by Tajik grandmaster Farrukh Amonatov in the 7th round.

Russian Vladislav Nozdrachov is leading the tournament. The Swiss system tournament brings together 89 chess players.
