Azerbaijan's chess grandmaster 3rd at Villa-de-Benasque festival

Azerbaijani chess grandmaster Eltaj Safarli has climbed to the 3rd spot at annual Villa-de-Benasque tournament in Spain after being held to a draw by Bulgaria's Kiril Georgiev in the sixth round.
Safarli now has 5.5 pts.

Brazil’s grandmaster Alexandr Fier is leading the table with 6 pts.

The Swiss system tournament brings together 505 players, including 30 grandmasters.
