Azerbaijani chess players draw in 7th round of FIDE Grand Prix

All 3 Azerbaijani chess grandmasters have drown with their rivals in the 7th round of FIDE Grand Prix tournament in Astrakhan, Russia. Vugar Hashimov drew with Russia's Petr Svidler, while Shahriyar Mammadyarov with Chinese Wang Yue and Teymur Rajabov with Russian Dmitry Yakovenko.

Ukraine's Pavel Elyanov tops the tournament's table with 4.5 pts, and is followed by Hashimov, Russia's Ernesto Inarkiyev, Dmitry Yakovenko and Evgeny Elkseev, and Hungary`s Peter Leko who have 4 pts each. The 8th round will pit Hashimov against Yue, while Mammadyarov plays Alekseev and Rajabov faces Boris Gelfand from Israel.
