Azermarka LLC of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has issued a postage stamp dedicated to the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games to be held on May 12-22.
The ministry reported that there are four kinds of sports - tennis, gymnastics, boxing and football on the stamps.
The stamps are issued in the Belarusian Printing House with a circulation of 10,000 copies, size of stamps is 40x28 mm. The nominal value of postage stamps is 0.5 manats.
The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games will involve more than 3,000 elite athletes from Islamic countries around the world. The athletes will be representing their nations over 10 days of competition across 21 different sports in 17 sports arenas.
The Games will officially kick off on May 12 with a keenly-anticipated Opening Ceremony at Baku's Olympic Stadium. The capital city of Azerbaijan was awarded the Games at the General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) in Jeddah in July 2013.
