Azerbaijani boxer destroys Armenian rival to qualify for Rio-2016

Azerbaijani boxer Javid Chalabiyev has today qualified for the Rio-2016 Summer Olympic Games after destroying an Armenian rival in the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Samsun, Turkey.


Chalabiyev beat Aram Avagyan in the 56kg weight semifinal.


Yana Alekseyeva also booked a spot in the Rio-2016 Olympics after reaching final in the women`s 60kg weight category.
