Azeri climber conquers Mount Damavand

Azerbaijani alpinist Ismayil Asgarov has climbed Mount Damavand, the highest peak in Iran. Standing 70 km north-east of the capital, Mount Damavand is visible from Tehran in clear weather. Its 5670-m peak is the highest point in Iran. Damavand is also the highest volcano in Asia.
