Azerbaijani scientist awarded “Name in Science”

Director of the Shamakhi Astrophysics Observatory of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Eyyub Guliyev was awarded with an international prize in the field of scientific researches “The Name in Science”.

“This decision was taken by The Socrates Nomination Committee of the European Business Assembly,” Guliyev said. Guliyev was awarded the medal and certificate at the annual meeting of the Assembly held in Oxford on Dec 10-14. He also made a report on the status and prospects of astronomy in Azerbaijan at the meeting.
