Opium den revealed in Azerbaijan

An opium den was found as a result of operational measures conducted jointly by the southern regional unit of the Interior Ministry’s department to combat the drugs and Lankaran City’s police office, Chief investigator Elnur Mammadov said.

He said that 2, 4696 g opium was found on local resident Kamran Nurullayev. Then police found 1,075 g opium on Ilgar Tagiyev, 0,600 g opium on Afgan Muradov, 1,042 g on Natig Khalilov, 2,183 g on Jamal Aghayev, 1,284 g on Yashar  Karimov, who were at the opium den organized for reception of drugs and psychotropic substance at the back-end of the Nurullayev’s house on the Arif Bagirov street 20. All of the abovementioned persons were arrested. The criminal case was launched into the fact by the Lankaran City Police Office on Criminal Code’s article 243.1, the investigation is underway.
