Baku Metro applies new payment system

Baku Metro made changes to the payment system.  From now on, the payment card will indicate the number of passages in monetary terms. Baku Metro’s official representative Hidayat Mammadov said each passage will be 0.2 manat from 6 am Dec.17.
 
Fares on the cards will automatically be transferred to the monetary unit while visitor will enter through the turnstiles at subway stations. Operations carried out on the post-terminals and PKAY devices allowed to indicate the fare in the monetary terms, he added. Baku Metro also abolished temporary sale or return of the cards.
