Japanese embassy opens medical point in Khachmaz region

A hand-over ceremony of the project for “Construction of medical point in Niyazovad village of Khachmaz region” was held Friday in Khachmaz.The ceremony was attended by Japanese Ambassador Shusuke Watanabe and Head of the Executive Power of Khachmaz region Shamsaddin Khanbabayev.

The total sum of the contract for the aforementioned project signed between the Embassy of Japan and NGO “Lira” Youth Talents Society is 84,242 USD. The project aims at constructing new medical point in Niyazovad village and procuring this point with relevant medical equipment in order to improve the quality of medical services for the residents of the village and its suburbs.

This is the 143rd completed project implemented in Azerbaijan within the “Grassroots and Human Security Grant Assistance Programme” of the Japanese Government. So far six similar projects had been implemented in Khachmaz region.
