Some groups in Azerbaijan use religion for political reasons

There are different groups in Azerbaijan and they use religion for political and personal reasons, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Religious Entities Hidayat Orujov said at an event held at the Committee's Office on Wednesday.

"In our country, religion is separated from state. Religion is separated in order not to get politicized or serve to anyone's personal interests," Orujov noted. The State Committee issued operating licenses to 15 specialized sales points of religious literature and other information materials of religious nature.
