Azerbaijan may exempt scientific grants from taxes

The Science Development Fund under the Azerbaijani President made a proposal to exempt scientific grants from taxes, Fund’s Executive Director Elchin Babayev said.

He said the relevant proposals have already been developed.  “It is the most important issue in our agenda. We learn the experience of other countries. The relevant steps have been taken in Russia in this direction”.

Babayev hopes a special approach will be shown in respect of this issue: “Because ii it is a very strong impetus to the development of science. The Azerbaijani President's order on allocation of additional 3 million manat proves that this strategy is long-lasting”.
