Azerbaijani, Chinese institutes seek coop

The Human Rights Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and Chinese Institutes of Contemporary International Relations have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.

The memo was inked as part of a visit by Director of ANAS Human Rights Institute Ayten Mustafayeva and Head of Azerbaijan Unit of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics Vugar Mammadov to Beijing.

Following the signing ceremony the Azerbaijani delegation met with President of Chinese Institutes of Contemporary International Relations Cui Liru to discuss ways of exploring the cooperation between the two bodies. They stressed the importance of carrying out joint researches and participating in scientific conferences.

The Azeri delegation also met with head of the Institute of Russian Studies at Chinese Institutes of Contemporary International Relations Feng Yujun and the center`s researcher Wang Lijiu. The Institute of Russian Studies specializes in studying Azerbaijan as well. The agreement to sign the memorandum between ANAS Human Rights Institute and Chinese Institutes of Contemporary International Relations was reached in Baku this May.
