CMO Head presents order to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia

Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims`Board Allahshukur Pashazade presented an order of Sheikh Ul-Islam to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill on his 65th birthday in Moscow.

The event brought together officials of the government, public figures, representatives of the different confessions as well as diplomatic missions accredited in Russia.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu read out a congratulatory letter of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. In the letter, the Head of State hailed Patriarch`s contribution to interconfessional peace and strengthening of friendly and neighborly relations.

Mr. Pashazade praised cooperation, efforts and mediatorial activity of Patriarch in peaceful resolution of Karabakh problem and strengthening of interconfessional dialogue.

Patriarch Kirill expressed his sincere gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the congratulatory letter and Mr. Pashazade for order of Sheykh ul-islam, as well as Azerbaijani nation and Muslims community of Caucasus.
