
A Genocide Memorial Complex in Guba will be built until September, 2012, Research fellow at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Archeology and Ethnography Gahraman Aghayev.
He said a rapid construction work was going at site and the mass grave was covered due to winter preparation, but the problem of bones disinfection still remains unresolved. “Decaying of the bones continues accelerating by the air humidity”.
Guba mass grave, only witness of the genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis, was discovered on April 1, 2007. In 2009, the country’s president issued an order for the construction of Guba Genocide Memorial Complex.
