Some 840 people killed in traffic accidents in Azerbaijan

The Baku State Traffic Police Office announced the statistics of traffic accidents occurred in the country in January-October, 2011.

Baku State Traffic Police Office's spokesman Kamran Aliyev said some 2,559 traffic accidents, which occurred during the 10 years of 2011, killed 840 and injured 2762 people.

Aliyev also noted that 39% of accidents were related to the pedestrians. Some 325 pedestrians were killed and 751 were injured in 1,000 accidents.
