Hidayat Orujov: Someone in Azerbaijan use the religion for their individual, political and foreign interests

“Someone in Azerbaijan use the religion for their individual, political and foreign interests”, chairman of the State Committee for work with religious associations Hidayat Orujov said during his meeting with the professors and students of the theology faculty of the Baku State University. Orujov spoke about the people who distorted the religion.

He said Azerbaijan needed in highly experienced theologians.

The committee chairman spoke about the relations between the religion and the state. “Someone fabricate that separation of the religion from the state means that the state can not interfere in the religion. This is wrong idea. The separation of the religion from the state means that the state can not be administered on the basis of Shariat laws and the religion can not be politicized”.
