Baku to host 1st conference of Azerbaijan National Center of ASSITEJ

The 1st conference of Azerbaijan National Center of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSİTEJ) under UNESCO will be held on Thursday at the Azerbaijan State Young Spectators` Theatre. According to Azerbaijan State Young Spectators` Theatre, president of ASSİTEJ Ivetta Hardi and chairman of Azerbaijan National Center of the organization Mubariz Hamidov will provide information on the conference`s aim.

The conference will be attended by director of the Fujairah International Monodrama Festival of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed Saif Al Afkham and other directors of foreign theaters. Azerbaijan State Young Spectators` Theatre joined the Executive committee of ASSITEJ with a majority of votes.

ASSITEJ (French: Association Internationale du Théâtre de l`Enfance et la Jeunesse) was established in 1965 as an international alliance of professionals involved in theatre for children and young people.
