"Mashadi Ezizbeyov metro station will be closed from November 1"

From November 1, entrance and exit of passengers to “Mashadi Ezizbeyov” metro station will be limited, chief of Baku Metro Taghi Ahmadov said.

In connection with it, the trains will move at Mashadi Ezizbeyov station without break.

According to his words, the limitation is related to reconstruction works, carried out at the station. As to continuation of this process, Ahmadov did not say any concrete time.

“The station will be reopened in December. Until that time, entrance and exit of all passengers will be restricted”, noted Ahmadov.

He said that there would be several changes at the station as a result of the reconstruction works. Place of passage will be changed, internal interior will be renewed, the ceiling will be at the height of 6 m 45 cm, as well as new entrances and exits will be opened.

As to change of name of the station after reconstruction, chief of Metro said that it depended on the Cabinet of Ministers.

Note that, route scheme of buses, which last stop is in front of “Mashadi Ezizbeyov” station, has been changed too.

Bus stops will be temporarily moved to the front of “Ulduz” metro station.
