Project on use of “Mugham therapy” in medical treatment being developed in Azerbaijan

“At present we are working on project named “Mugham therapy”.

If we use this treatment mode, we will both serve to our health, and will attract the world’s attention to our country, national music”, said rector of the Azerbaijani National Conservatorium Siyavush Karimli in his interview to “Tibb” newspaper. Karimli said that effective influence of the “Mugham” therapy will attract the foreigners to Azerbaijan: “We will prove once again the power of Azerbaijani mugham”.

According to Karimli, the sounds in the musical gamma have a various influences to the human organs: “For example, la note positively influences the liver, pancreas. Si note can kill a man. We consider these theories once again”.

Rector also noted that, some doctors use music in the operation process: “Now my surgeon friends use my music during the operation, note its high effect.”
