
Head of Tectonophysics and Geomechanics Department of the Institute of Geology and corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Hatam Guliyev participated in the international scientific conference called “Geophysical technologies of forecasting and monitoring of the geological environment” in Lviv, Ukraine.
Azeri scientist made a report on denseness, formation of low density zones and deformation accompanies of spatial conversion internal structures of the Earth. The conference was co-organized by Karpaty branch of the Institute of Geophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education, Science Youth and Sports and other governmental bodies of the country. According to the press service of the Institute of Geology of ANAS, the conference brought together scientists from Russia and Poland.
Full texts of presented theses to the conference had been published in this year`s issue of “Geodynamics” magazine edited by Lviv Polytechnic National University. Mr. Guliyev also represented Azerbaijan at the annual report gathering of the staff manager of the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) held in Kiev. Experts from the European Union (EU), the United States (US), Canada, Georgia and Moldova took part in the gathering.
