Azerbaijan provides Pakistan with humanitarian assistance

The Azerbaijani government yesterday made a decision to provide Pakistan with humanitarian assistance worth $2 million. Pakistan's southern part was damaged as a result of flooding and monsoon rains, the Foreign Ministry said.

Lenta.ru reported that more than 5 million inhabitants left without houses, hundreds of people died as a result of flooding in southern Pakistan.

Most people died because of the collapse of roofs and floors of houses. Moreover, flooding in Pakistan has created a serious threat of famine. It destroyed the crops. The agriculture is the only means of existence for many Pakistanis.
