6 drugstores closed in Sumgayit city of Azerbaijan

Health Ministry’s Center for Analytical Expertise of Medicines has started raids with the view of struggling against illegal drugstores and unfit medicines.

The Health Ministry said that 18 drugstores had been inspected in Sumgayit recently, 6 of them had been closed. These drugstores were illegal. It was also found out that the drugstores sold medicines without certificates.

769 boxes of unfit medicines were seized from 18 drugstores, 407 boxes of them from state-run drugstores, 362 boxes from illegal drugstores, which were closed.
