Azerbaijan detains Iranian citizen at border

An Iranian citizen who illegally crossed Azerbaijani border has been detained in Azerbaijan.

Although the State Border Service has not yet issued a statement, the young man, 18-year-old Nedai Farhad who is a a resident of the Hajili village based in the Iranian Aslanduz region said he entered Azerbaijan's border crossing by mistake.

He is being detained at the State Border Service's frontier post in the Fuzuli region. Mr. Farhad will be officially handed over to border commissariat on the Iranian Aslanduz region.
