“The Governments are struggling to meet the rising demand for secondary education”, UNESCO’s Global Education Digest 2011 said.
According to the UN agency, most of the world’s children graduated from the primary schools want to develop education in the secondary schools. Junior secondary education covers more than 80% of the population in Azerbaijan. 60% of the population can complete the secondary education and not all of them have an opportunity to continue education at the universities. The quality of secondary school resources are in medium level, but diversity in high level in Azerbaijan. UNESCO said Azerbaijan took leading position in the South Caucasus for the number of foreign students.
Azerbaijani students prefer to get education mostly in Russia, Turkey and USA.
