International seminar on teacher`s training kicks off in Baku

An international seminar on teachers`s training in Eastern partnership countries started in Azerbaijan`s capital on Thursday. The seminar organized by Azerbaijan Ministry of Education and the European Commission (EC).

The seminar brought together experts of Eastern Partnership countries and the European Commission, representatives of Azerbaijan Ministry of Education, Baku Office of EC, State Pedagogical University, Institute of Teachers and Baku Skill improvement and Retraining Institute of Pedagogical Cadres.

The aim of the seminar is to discuss training of teachers in the Eastern Partnership countries, experience exchange in this sphere. Addressing the seminar, Azerbaijan Minister of Education Misir Mardanov provided information on teachers` training.

He said that winners of the contests “The best teacher” and “The best school” have been awarded since 2008 according to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev`s order.

The event is held within the framework of the 4th platform of Eastern partnership Programme.
