President Ilham Aliyev inaugurates pedestrian underpasses in Buzovna settlement - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev yesterday familiarized himself with construction of multi-level road junctions and road layout in Ziya Bunyadov Avenue. The Head of State was informed five road junctions and overpass would be built from Ziya Bunyadov Avenue to Boyuk Shor circle.

The road junctions will include three tunnels which are 620, 260, 522 meters in length and 22 and 10 meters in width and three pedestrian underpasses 170 meters in length. The construction work started in early 2011. President Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with a road junction layout located at intersection of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and Ahmad Rajabli Street.
The facility is 328 meter in length, and 28 meter in width. The construction of the road junction layout started early this year.

The President inspected the technical specifications of a road junction located at intersection of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and Aliyar Aliyev Street. The 6-lane road will be 452 meter in length, and 27 meter in width. The Head of State viewed a road junction located at intersection of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and Boyuk Shor Highway.

The 6-lane tunnel will be 610 meter in length, 26,5 meter in width and 5,5 meter in height. The construction of the tunnel started in May, 2011. President Ilham Aliyev also familiarized himself with a tunnel layout located at intersection of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue and Muzaffar Narimanov Street. The 6-lane tunnel will be 800 meter in length, and 26 meter in width. The Muzaffar Narimanov Street will be reconstructed.

The President was told construction of 5 road junctions in Ziya Bunyadov Avenue will end in late 2012. The Head of State gave relevant recommendations and instructions.

On October 4, President of Azerbaijan got acquainted with construction of the Intellectual Transport Management Center in Baku. The Head of State was informed that the 5-storyed Center includes a modern server, 18 network equipments and a 120-sqm monitor.

The President inspected the management hall with a huge digital monitor able to reflect data about 150 road junctions. The Head of State got acquainted with the update equipment and various devices used in the system of intellectual transport management. The information terminal with 60 cameras has been made in Korea and provides necessary transport data.

President Aliyev gave necessary recommendations.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday inaugurated a pedestrian underpass in Buzovna settlement of Khazar region. The new underpass is located on a 12th km section of the Heydar Aliyev International Airport -Zugulba highway. The underpass is 44.14 meters in length, 6 meters in width and 3 meters in height.

After familiarizing himself with the technical specifications of the overpass, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the work done here. On the same day President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated a new pedestrian underpass located on the 11th km section of the Heydar Aliyev International Airport -Zugulba highway. The President was informed that the underpass is 48.1 meters in length, 6 meters in width and 3 meters in height.

Both underpasses will help reduce traffic and ensure the safety of pedestrians.

President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday inaugurated three-level interchange on Mardakan highway in Khazar region of Baku.

The Head of State was informed about the main technical parameters of the road junction with a bridge of 220 m length and 23,5 m width. The junction includes a 400-meters long tunnel which has been built during 15 months.

The President cut the ribbon symbolizing opening of the interchange which connects the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Mardakan, Shuvelan and Buzovna settlements. The junction will provide access from many directions.

President of Azerbaijan expressed consent with the works done here and gave certain instructions.
