
An agreement was signed with the relevant agencies for Azerbaijani pilgrims to go to the Hajj by bus without any problems while crossing the Iranian and Iraqi borders, head of the International Relations Department at the Caucasus Muslims Board, Mugaddas Payizov said.
He said that while crossing the Iranian border, pilgrims will have no problems at checkpoints. After Iran abolishes visa regime with Azerbaijan, there are delays as a result of a large number of people.
He said that that the talks were held with the Iranian and Iraqi relevant agencies to transport pilgrims. The agreements were also signed. This issue is under the control of Caucasian Muslims Office. Pilgrims will have no problems.
Pilgrims' bus route to Mecca has been changed as a result of the events taking place in Syria.
The Caucasian Muslims Office organizes pilgrimage tours to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, according to the protocol signed with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Pilgrimage.
Qurban Bayram will be celebrated on Nov. 6. A caravan of pilgrims will move on Oct. 25-26.
