Azerbaijani Ombudswoman meets advisor of UN High Commissioner`s human rights office

Azerbaijan`s Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova has met with newly appointed senior advisor of the South Caucasus bureau of the Office of United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Vladimir Shkolnikov.

Relations between Azerbaijan`s Ombudsman Office and OHCHR, cooperation prospects were discussed during the meeting.

Suleymanova briefed the UN official on the activity of Azerbaijan`s Ombudsman Office to protect and ensure human rights, activity under Universal Periodic Review.

Shkolnikov, in turn, found the need to continue cooperation and exchange information.
