Ombudsman Office’s representatives visit isolator of police stations of Gakh, Balakan and Zagatala regions

Employees of Sheki Regional Center, who are the members of the Ombudsman’s National Preventive Mechanism, established according to Optional protocol of the Convention against torture and the other cruel, inhuman treatment, visited temporary isolator of Gakh, Balakan and Zagatala regional police stations.

Press service of the Ombudsman’s Office said that during the visits, the group’s employees investigated the holding conditions in these facilities, have not found any infringement. They talked with detainees, their rights were explained to them.

These persons haven’t complained of holding conditions, and treatment of facility leadership and employees against them.

The leadership of police stations was recommended on further improvement of holding conditions.
