29 September 2011 [19:08] - TODAY.AZ
Armenian-made PMN-57 anti-personnel mine was detected in Khachin river near Ashagi Garvand village of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam region.

One more explosive device – anti-tank mine was found in that direction. The ammunitions were discovered by the local residents, who immediately informed Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions. The field engineers, who carried out the mine-clearance operation, said that the facts of detection of such mines occur frequently in the rivers and other water basin passing through territories occupied by Armenian armed forces.

Thus, such Armenian-made plastic-coated mines are light-weight and their release via water is very advantageous. By using it, the Armenians throw the mines to the residential territories and working spaces of peaceful residents via rivers flowing from occupied territories. 27 such facts were detected during the recent years.
