SOCAR employees killed in incident on offshore platform

Two SOCAR employees were killed and one was injured in incident on the Gunashli-14 platform on the Guneshli offshore field, SOCAR said. The field is being developed by the company.

According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred as a result of violation of security regulations, SOCAR reported.

The victims are Huseyin Guliyev and Vugar Aliyev. Suretdin Gurbanov’s health state is serious. A commission has been established to clarify causes of the incident.
