Nushiravan Maharramli: Internet television must be regulated by the state

“The issue on internet television is discussed not only in Azerbaijan, but also in the whole world.

Though the ministers of the Council of Europe member states met concerning this issue, they failed to make a unanimous decision,” chairman of the National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) Nushiravan Maharramli told journalists.

Noting that internet television is one of the methods of broadcasting, chairman of the council said it must be regulated by the state. “This is already observed in the world. Azerbaijan is going to make use of the experience of the European countries. If the members of the Council of Europe make a decision concerning it, Azerbaijan will also repeat it,” he said.
