Chairman of NTRC: If we make a decision banning foreign television series on Azerbaijani channels, we will face serious problems

“If we make a decision banning foreign television series on Azerbaijani channels, we will face serious problems, because we do not have enough products,” chairman of the National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) Nushiravan Maharramli said.

Chairman of the council said breakthrough must be made to shoot series, programs. “Most of the channels make series. The situation concerning documentary films is not so bad. But there are problems concerning series, television films,” he said.

Chairman of the council believes that the executive order issued by Azerbaijani President on allocating AZN 5 million for making series, feature films will be a turning point in this sphere.
