First residency examinations held in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s State Commission on Student Admission holds residency admission examinations for academic year 2011-2012 to train doctors on the basis of higher education.

Applications were received from September 12 to 20 and 1063 students applied for the residency.

The examinations will take place at the Azerbaijan Medical University in Baku on September 24 and 25. Today the applicants will take examinations on basic subjects and on September 25 – on certain specialties.

The applicants will have 2 hours and 30 minutes to answer 100 questions. The contest will be organized on the basis of the applicants’ basic (not less 30) and specialty points (not less 40).

300 students will be enrolled in residency this year.
