Azerbaijani regional transport department chief arrested

The chief of the Ganja transport department No 1 Shamistan Nagiyev was arrested during the operation carried out by employees of the Department for Combating Corruption under the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office, a source in the Prosecutor's Office told Trend.

The criminal case was filed in accordance with Art. 311 (bribery) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.

Ganja is the second largest city of Azerbaijan. It located on the north-west of the country.
