Modern park to be built in the center of Baku - PHOTOS

Currently, the area between the Heydar Aliyev Palace and Azerbaijani State National Dramatic Theater is completely fenced. Three huge pits were dug within the area conventionally called "winter boulevard" by Baku residents. Work is being carried in one of them while the rest two yet remain neglected.

According to a representative of the Baku Executive Office, wishing to keep anonymity, the master plan of Baku envisages the establishment of a modern city park for rest and entertainment of Baku residents but not a "winter boulevard."

"The pits were dug for the construction of three underground parking lots. They will have two floors. The deadline of the construction work is nor known", he representative said.
